Our Staff

All staff of Regents Park Christian School are Christians who are active in their faith and are regularly attending and active in a church community. The many facets of the school staffing and structure contribute to a holistic approach toward student spiritual, academic, and personal growth.

 

Key Staff

The Principal, Mr Brummell, is delegated by the School Board to have overall responsibility for the operational care of the school. The Assistant Principal, Mr Barnard, is responsible for the day-to-day educational functioning of the Secondary School. His responsibilities include daily operations within the school, oversight of the teaching staff, school discipline, school uniform, and student welfare. The Head of Primary, Mr Ping, is responsible for the day to day running of the Primary Department, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students is maintained and that relevant, engaging learning activities, which cater for individual needs and strengths, are provided for each student. The Director of Teaching and Innovation, Mrs Lilley, is responsible for overseeing and developing the learning culture in the classroom so that students develop the critical, creative and higher order thinking skills that they require for adult life, as well as being engaged and active with their learning. Finding sense, personal meaning, challenge and relevance in their lessons is crucial if the learning completed in class is to be made permanent and then transferable into the many situations students will find themselves as adults and workers. The Student Wellbeing Coordinator, Mrs Dawson, is responsible for overseeing the welfare of students, the development and training of teachers, the development of learning programs and the education of parents in student wellbeing. Mrs Dawson works alongside students regarding both their academic care and personal needs. Moreover, the inclusion of wellbeing topics within learning programs is considered, as are opportunities for guest speakers to share at assemblies and in classrooms in both primary and secondary school. The National Partnership Coordinator, Mr Ping, is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the annual school plan for the National Partnership program. In developing the school plan, it is imperative that the specific needs of the school community are reflected and to this end an exhaustive situational analysis, which engages all members of the school community: students, parents and staff, is conducted. The plan that is developed also addresses each of the 6 National Reform Elements for improving school quality.
